Government enhances Culture Recovery Fund

March 4, 2021

It was announced in the budget that the Government will be adding to the Culture Recovery Fund. The Government has allocated an additional £400 million which will be going to Museums, Art Galleries and Theatres that were financially stable before COVID-19 but were at imminent risk of failure.

We are delighted that the Government is dedicated to supporting cultural organisations and will be giving them the resources they need to reopen this year. In addition, the furlough scheme has been extended until September. Hopefully, this will result in less redundancies and protect jobs in the Visitor Attraction market. The Government is also supporting zoos with the Zoos Animal Fund. We hope that this Government support will reduce the number of attractions closing and allow attractions to continue operating.

If you are one of these organisations receiving support, now is a good time to evaluate your Visitor Management System or research the benefits of one if you do not have a system in place. Our Visitor Management System is a one-stop integrated ticketing and point-of-sale solution for your Visitor Attraction. Our system allows Museums and Heritage Sites to easily integrate Gift Aid donations into their business operations. In addition, Museums and Heritage sites can create and manage a Travel Trade portal and provide a fast and secure method of guest admittance with Access Management.
