The Museum of Edinburgh is one of the leading Scottish heritage collections and is part of a large group which consists of 13 venues and over 200 monuments throughout Edinburgh run by the Council. Museums and Galleries Edinburgh have implemented VenposCloud, our integrated Ticketing and EPoS system. VenposCloud unifies ticketing, retail, stock management, reporting and provides an online donations platform.
You can discover Edinburgh’s fascinating history through the Museum’s wide and varied collections. In exploring the Museum’s maze of 16th century buildings, you will see iconic items, beautiful objects and learn fascinating facts and gruesome tales. Centuries of Edinburgh’s history are waiting to be discovered from the Old and New towns. Highlights including the National Covenant of 1638, which led to civil war and the collar and bowl of Greyfriars Bobby, the Skye terrier whose dogged devotion to his dead master touched the hearts of many and inspired numerous books and film adaptations. First World War commander Earl Haig’s extensive collections are also on display.
Museums & Galleries Edinburgh were initially looking for a system where they could manage retail and admissions. However, when our system was installed, they realized that it had multiple features which they did not even know they needed!
VenposCloud supports a range of tickets and transactions. Our powerful EPoS systems can process admissions, memberships, retail and catering transactions and group bookings quickly. This leads to reduced waiting times and queues for visitors and allows all the venues to operate efficiently.
The Stock Management module allows you to easily manage retail and catering stock, create purchase orders, add deliveries, and manage your suppliers. The reporting feature has been a godsend for the attractions because their previous supplier did not offer this function.
