This prestigious event ran over two days and attracted more than 150 exhibitors. It culminated in the prestigious Museums and Heritage Awards evening where a Special Recognition Award was presented this year to the renowned environmentalist Sir David Attenborough.
Alongside Sir David a further 14 awards were presented to museums around the UK who are creating some truly ground-breaking exhibitions and visitor experiences.
The Limited Budget Project of the Year Award presented to the Herschel Museum of Astronomy caught our eye with their comic styled ‘Wonder Women of Space Exhibition’ which shows how the history of astronomy has been shaped by pioneering women.
We were also blown away by the scale of the Restoration Project of the Year at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, where for the last two years their restoration team have been working to clean and repair 40,000 square feet of the Painted Hall. It is incredible work and well worth a visit to this historic site if you’ve not had a chance to visit already.
Vennersys were very proud to exhibit at this event and we’d like to offer a huge congratulations to everyone who entered the awards and who pulled this huge show together so successfully. We look forward to meeting you all again soon and working with some of these wonderful heritage sites to bring solutions to their ticketing, memberships, Gift Aid and retail sales.
